melilla chevron cowl

One of our new lines for fall was Melilla Fingering by Cascade.  It's a beautiful and soft blend of Silk, Wool and nylon dyed in long transition color change.  Each colorway is composed of 8 colors that blend from one to the next.  We chose to knit our store sample into a chevron cowl with highlights the color changes and is easy to wear!  It's a free pattern with purchase of this yarn.  With 7 colorways to choose from, you're sure to find one you love!

December's KAL is De Pijp Cowl by Marth Wissing.  This cowl is knit in the round from the bottom up with simple lace motifs separated with garter stitch bands. Pixel yarn from Berroco is a DK weight 100% superwash wool with fun speckles and stripes, making this cowl an engaging knit - you just want to knit one more round to see what’s coming next!

Join us Saturday October 20th from 10-12pm for a yarn tasting with Cascade Yarns.  Our rep Clif will have door prizes, you'll be able to play with some of the new yarns that we brought in this spring and fall, see in person the knitted garments from 60 Quick Knits for 220 Superwash, and ALL Cascade yarns will be 10% off the entire day!  Join us for this fun event.

We will also be having our annual sample sale this day.  It's a great time to scoop up some retired store samples.

October KAL

October 05, 2018

It's hard to believe it's October.  With the return of rain and leaves changing colors, it officially feels like Autumn!  To honor the coziness of this season, we picked a project that features very cozy baby alpaca.  Braid by Mary-Ann Lammers is a very clever construction.  Straightforward to knit, it has a pop of style and intrigue.  We chose Cascade's Eco Alpaca for its luxuriousness and drape.  It is a worsted weight 100% Undyed Baby Alpaca, so it's a very natural palette that includes marled colorways as well.

Our KALs are Friday 3-6pm and Sunday 2:30-5pm.
