is a fun and beautiful blend of different textures, tones and sheen. As the name suggests, it is a mix of different yarns that are fused together - not knotted together. It knits up with so much depth and visual interest. It's a blend of cotton and rayon, making it a great option for summer accessories
For our store sample we knit a simple but classic lacy infinity scarf that is light and airy for summer. It would also look pretty in Poppy Poncho

It's hard to believe that May 1st will be a year since we bought the store! To celebrate we are going to do a Cast-On Day on Monday the 1st. We have chosen some really cute summery top patterns that we'll start on May 1st and work on them through the month, with the goal of finishing in time to wear this summer.
Sunshine Coast by Heidi Kirrmaier has a classic design that would flatter many shapes with very attractive details. We have chosen Cascade Yarns Anchor Bay, a blend of 50% wool and 50% cotton. The wool helps the cotton hold a shape while keeping it cooler than 100% wool. It has a lovely hand, good stitch definition and creates a very nice finished fabric.
Cancun Boxy Lace Top
by Erin Kate Archer is a loose-fitting top designed to layer. We have modified the pattern to fit a little better and longer. If you join us for our KAL, we will share these modifications with you. We have chosen Cascade Yarns Hampton
, a blend of Pima Cotton and Linen to keep the fabric nice and summery!
by Wendy Bernard is knit in the round with easy-to-memorize lace patterns. It creates a light and airy layer that's fun to wear. We suggest Elsabeth Lavold Hempathy
and Silky Wool
or Tahki Baja
by Jane Richmond is knit top down in one piece with a lacy accent around the neck. Great versatile wardrobe staple. We suggest Elsabeth Lavold Silky Wool
Musselshell Cardi by the Berroco team features their re-released suede in a cropped length.

This beautiful weather today is making us think about the upcoming summer with warmer temperatures and the sun out, so we're knitting some summery accessories with plant fiber yarns to keep them light and cool.
This week we're going to feature Catalina from Tahki Stacy Charles. It's 100% Mercerized Cotton which gives it a beautiful sheen, but what gives it even more textural interest is that it has a thick/thin texture that knits up into soft, subtle stripes. In stockinette or garter stitch it would be much more pronounced, but in the lace pattern in Sanibel Cowl it gives it an airy and light feel, even a little whimsical, perfect for summer! This yarn comes in 50g balls with 131 yds, and our store sample took a skein and a half. The color palette is a nice blend of neutrals so this cowl is certain to become your go-to accessory for the summer.
