Local Yarn Store Day

April 09, 2021

The 4th annual Local Yarn Store Day is Saturday April 17.

Local Yarn Store Day is a brick-and-mortar yarn shop appreciation day designed to show support for small businesses while bringing together a unique community of knitters, crocheters, weavers and spinners to drive awareness and celebrate the craft. Vendors and retailers alike are coming together to showcase the benefits of locally owned yarn stores through an array of special products, classes, and more!

The pre-release of Sarah Schira's 6th Mystery Gnome Along "Gnot Another Gnome" coincides with LYS Day, so we are going to do a giveaway of a Gnome kit from local indie dyer Ryberry Yarns, in the color choice of the winner.  Each purchase made on April 17th will get one entry, and purchases of Ryberry Yarns will get 2 entries.  Since many people are still preferring to shop online this year, this giveaway will apply to online orders too.  Winner will be notified on Monday April 19th.
